Taken as your assessable income for the year.

Add up the reliefs you claim, for example earned income relief and CPF relief. Leaving this at zero overstates your tax.

Residency, for the SRS cap

Counts up to S$15,300 a year for your residency.

An SRS account is for people aged 18 or over.

Choose a date and the withdrawal age below is set for you. If you are not sure, set the age yourself: 64 applies to a first contribution from 1 July 2026.

Choosing when you first contributed sets this for you, or set the age that applies to you. See the note on withdrawal age below.

About the withdrawal age. SRS withdrawals are penalty-free only from the statutory retirement age in effect when you made your first SRS contribution. That age is 64 for a first contribution from 1 July 2026, 63 for one from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2026, and 62 for one before that. Choose when you first contributed and the age is set for you; otherwise set the age that applies to you. Withdrawals before it are in most cases taxed in full and carry a 5% penalty, which this calculator does not model.

Your own assumption, not a promise. SRS money grows only according to how it is held or invested.

About S$1,071 a year in tax relief on your contributions.

That is the relief at today's rates, before any tax on withdrawals. On or after the statutory retirement age that applies to you, 50% of an SRS withdrawal is taxable. This is an illustration, not a forecast: returns, prices and how long you live all vary.

Whether SRS suits you depends on your wider plans. Eugene can talk it through.

Assumptions and sources

Illustration only, not financial advice. It assumes one contribution at the start of each year, growing at the return you choose, compounded yearly. Your income, reliefs and the tax rates are held at today’s levels for every year, which they will not be.

The tax relief shown is the relief on your contributions, before any tax on withdrawals. Tax on later SRS withdrawals is not modelled. Reliefs are entered as one total, and leaving it at zero overstates the relief. Tax is estimated for tax residents on the rates IRAS gives from the 2024 Year of Assessment onwards.

An SRS balance grows only according to how the money is held or invested, which this calculator does not go into; the return is your own assumption.

Nothing you enter is sent anywhere or stored.
